  1. The theory of Obama's new health care law is unruly. It also has a theory that the United States could not have an effective tax sytem if every tax provision was thought to be unconstitutional. Under this law, there will be a penalty for not having health insurance by 2015. There should be no case because the penalty has not started and no one has suffered financially. The central controversy will be the individual mandate if the Supreme Court rules that there can be an immediate challenge to the law.

  2. "Down the Insurance Rabbit Hole" shows just how flawed our current health care system is. The poor and the well-to-do have options (the former are extremely restricted under current guidelines), but the lower-middle class, in particular, are far too often forced to make extremely difficult decisions about their health and the health of their families.

The Supreme Court hearings were extremely interesting, and I will be watching carefully to see how the Justices' decisions play out. Personally, I believe that they will uphold at least SOME of the law, although the individual mandate requirement could go the other way. Still, it is too early to tell. Regardless of the outcome, this case has brought to light huge problems with the current system. If the law doesn't pass, I believe that subsequent changes WILL be made, now that the public has been made increasingly aware of current policy.

    1. I agree with josh this case has been very intriguing, particularly the decision of the justices. The decision to apply Obama care, take parts from Obama care to the new situation or create an alternative solution. I do believe everyone should have health care but it should not be forced to be bought. If so other alternative will be needed to help that middle class that does not fall in the lines for government help.
